What an amazing time its been trying to organize this show. From the beginning I thought this was going to be an easy process, but it has turned out to be one of the most difficult events I have ever organized. From cancelled venues, to city permits, to date changing every week, we finally are about to pull this thing off! I hope I don’t jinx myself!
The Everett Recovery Cafe stepped in and decided to help us bring this whole thing together. We knew that having the support of the recovery community was a huge puzzle piece to pointing our showcase in the right direction. Sarah Brooks and Wendy Grove have been eerily patient with all of the crazy changes, bumps, and bruises. Literally, we had to reschedule 4 times because of venue hiccups.
Right now, our biggest task is making sure the word gets out about the show. Thanks to God, we have an opportunity to get our show featured on the 88.5 KNKX radio calendar! Thats a great start. We are also trying to get an opportunity to get into the Edmonds paper. If anyone has any connections, please let me know! In the mean time, I am working full time to make sure that we can get this site up and running and the fundraising portal as well.
Madeleine Bridge, Miki Cole, Pierre Newsome, Danny Figgins, Jeff Kashiwa, Kai Hill, Kyle Amundson, Callum Crist, Gerard Millman, and Tim Kadri; you guys are awesome! Thanks for all the support along the way lets make it happen!
